Animal Farm essay
For your essay, choose one of the topics below. Form a thesis statement which you will then support with quotes and examples from the book and the world. You must use at least two quotations from Animal Farm. Be sure you back up your clear thesis statement with at least 3 pieces of evidence. Your essay must have at least 5 paragraphs.

- An idea of a better society can be corrupted if care and watchfulness are not exercised by its citizens.
Major, the pigs, the humans, all of the animals? Who does Orwell want the reader
to believe is responsible?
3, Knowing your own personality traits and characteristics, which character in
Animal Farm do you see yourself as most like? Why? What do you think about
the other animals on the farm?
4. Think of another situation/setting with people with personalities similar to some of
the animals, and describe it. For example, are you on a sports team with a
Napoleon, a Boxer and/or a Squealer? Does your family have similar characters?
Our country? Etc.
5. One commentator observed: “There have been, are, and always will be ‘pigs’ in
every society, Orwell states, and they will always grab power. Even more cruel is
the conclusion that everyone in the society, wittingly or unwittingly, contributes to
the pigs’ tyranny.” Agree or disagree with this statement, as seen in Animal Farm
and in the “real world”.
